Chelsea goalkeeper Jamie Cumming has signed a new contract at the club ahead of the new Premier League season billed to start next week Friday.

As confirmed by Chelsea, the 23-year-old goalkeeper has signed a new four-year deal at the club until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Jamie Cumming has been at Chelsea since the age of seven.

He has been confirmed as the third choice Chelsea goalkeeper ahead of the new season billed to start next week Friday.

The new Premier League season starts with reigning European champions Liverpool hosting newly promoted side Norwich City at Anfield.

Norwich City won promotion to the Premier League after emerging as the best team at the end of the last English Championship season.

The Canaries were promoted to the Premier League for this season alongside Sheffield United and Aston Villa.

Chelsea goalkeeper Jamie Cumming has featured three times for the Stamford Bridge outfit during preseason.

He played twice during the preseason tour of Dublin in the Republic of Ireland.

Jamie Cumming also featured for Chelsea against Reading in his third and final appearance of preseason till date.

Spanish shot stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga and Argentine international Willy Caballero are ahead of him in the pecking order at the club.
