Newly promoted Premier League club Aston Villa have agreed on a deal for Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton as per the latest media reports.
Aston Villa have been chasing former Manchester United shot stopper Heaton for a very long time and it seems like the former European champions have made a breakthrough in their bid to sign the Burnley goalkeeper.
According to Sky Sports, Burnley have accepted a £9m bid for Tom Heaton.
Aston Villa made an opening bid of just £4m which was rejected by the Clarets who wanted more than £10m for the shot stopper who has just one year left on his Burnley contract at the moment.

Burnley has offered the 33-year-old a new contract to extend his stay at the Turf Moor but the goalkeeper wants to move this summer.
Aston Villa and Burnley reached £9m for him despite the previous asking price slammed on him by senior club officials.
Tom Heaton regained his shirt at Burnley last season on while recovering from a serious shoulder injury.
Ex-Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart was signed to provide more competition in the goalkeeping department and he was the first choice goalkeeper at the Turf Moor until Tom Heaton returned to full fitness.
