Turkish Super League giants Galatasaray are reportedly in pole position to sign AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao.

This is according to the report from popular French publication L’Equipe which revealed that Galatasaray want to sign Falcao this summer.

Galatasaray want to offer the Colombian international hitman a two-year contract worth €8m on a yearly basis.

The 33-year-old has one year left on his current contract with French giants AS Monaco.

The former Manchester United striker has been at AS Monaco since his €50m transfer from Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.

Radamel Falcao spent one season as a Manchester United player between 2014 and 2015.

He joined Manchester United on loan from AS Monaco for the 2014/15 season.

His loan spell at Old Trafford was largely unsuccessful as he was largely unfit.

Falcao joined Manchester United on loan shortly after recovering from a serious knee injury which saw him miss the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.

His best season as a Monaco striker came during the 2016/17 campaign which saw the club win the league title for the first time in 17 years.

Falcao and Monaco also reached the semifinals of the Champions League during that season before they were eliminated by Italian Serie A champions Juventus.
