Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes will join Premier League giants Manchester United before the end of this transfer window according to the latest reports coming out of the media in Portugal.

According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Bruno Fernandes will captain Sporting Lisbon during their Portuguese Super Cup clash with Benfica on Sunday before completing a £56m move to Manchester United.

The Portuguese Super Cup clash with Benfica could be his last game for Sporting Lisbon.

Manchester United have been in negotiations with Sporting Lisbon over the Portuguese international midfielder and it seems like the transfer saga will end before the end of the Premier League transfer window next week.

Bruno Fernandes has been attracting the interest of a lot of the major European sides on the back of a very good season for Sporting Lisbon.

The 24-year-old was an influential player for Sporting Lisbon during the last campaign as the Portuguese giants ended as the Portuguese Cup winner.

Bruno Fernandes scored 32 goals for his team in addition to 18 assists in 53 games in all competitions.

The 24-year-old broke the record of former Chelsea player Frank Lampard (27 goals) for the most goals scored by a midfielder.
