Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale won’t join Chinese Super League (CSL) outfit Jiangsu Suning this summer according to the latest reports in the media.

The Welshman was close to leaving Real Madrid to China before the move collapsed on Sunday.

According to the Telegraph, the move was called off by the Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez.

Gareth Bale would have earned a whooping £1m on a weekly basis.

The Welsh international was set to earn £208m over a four-year contract.

Bale is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid as confirmed by manager Zinedine Zidane but he could still have a future at the club.

The Manchester United target has been involved in the club’s preseason as preparations for the new season reaches fever pitch.

The new season does not start until next month.

Gareth Bale has spent six years at Real Madrid since his then world-record transfer from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

Real Madrid paid £85.3m to secure his transfer from Spurs.

Since his transfer to Real Madrid, Bale has won four Champions League titles and one Spanish La Liga title.

Gareth Bale won the Champions League title in his first season at Real Madrid before adding the other three titles between 2016 and 2018.
