Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira has fuelled the transfer rumours linking him with a summer move to the Emirates Stadium by making an appearance on Sunday.

The German international was spotted at the Emirates Stadium ahead of the preseason tournament known as the Emirates Cup.

Arsenal will take on French Ligue 1 giants Lyon at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Long-term Arsenal target Sami Khedira is surplus to requirements at Italian Serie A champions Juventus following the free transfer signings of midfielders Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey.

Khedira is a long-term Arsenal target dating back to when club legend Arsene Wenger was the Gunners manager.

The Frenchman was the Arsenal manager for 22 years until last summer when he stepped down from the post.

Unai Emery has since replaced him as the Gunners boss.

Sami Khedira is further down the midfield pecking order at Juventus following the free transfer arrivals of Ramsey and Rabiot.

Welshman Ramsey left Arsenal this summer after the expiration of his contract and he has since joined Juventus on a free transfer.

He has signed a four-year deal until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Adrien Rabiot also left PSG at the end of his contract last season to join Juventus on a free transfer this summer.
