Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has revealed that Premier League giants Arsenal are only a couple of millions away from reaching an agreement with Scottish Premiership giants Celtic for defender Kieran Tierney.

According to him, the Gunners are closer to meeting the financial demands from Celtic for the aforementioned Tierney.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to sign a new left-back this summer and Kieran Tierney has emerged as a top transfer target for the Gunners in that position.

Celtic demanded £25m from Arsenal for Kieran Tierney and it was met by the Gunners but the Scottish champions want a better payment plan.

The Scottish Premiership club wants a better upfront payment having offered £18m in their last offer as well as £7m in add-ons thus making it a total of £25m.

Kieran Tierney came through the Celtic Academy before making his debut for the first team.

The 22-year-old has spent four years in the first team at Celtic.

Kieran Tierney was a key part of the Celtic squad that won all the major trophies domestically in the last three years.

Celtic have won the treble in each of the last three seasons.
