Three-time European champions Manchester United are reportedly set to make a £30m bid for Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff.

This is according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Mirror which revealed that the Magpies would soon receive a big bid from Manchester United for one of their star players from the last campaign.

It was revealed that Manchester United have made a £30m bid for three players.

Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff is rated at £50m by his club and he has emerged as a top midfield target for the Red Devils during the current transfer window.

Sean Longstaff came through the ranks at Newcastle United before he made his debut for the Northeast club last season.

His first senior appearance for Newcastle United was in the Carabao Cup clash with English Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

Sean Longstaff became a regular part of the Newcastle United XI later in the season under the guidance of Rafael Benitez who has left the club for Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang.

Rafael Benitez has left Newcastle United after he had a disagreement with club owner Mike Ashley over transfers.

Longstaff played nine league games last season while Rafael Benitez was still at the club.

His progress with the Newcastle United team was stopped in its track in April after he suffered a serious knee injury.
