Premier League giants Manchester United have concluded plans to make a concrete bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
This is according to the Independent which claimed that Manchester United will make a bid of around £50m for the Portuguese international star.
Manchester United want to sign a new midfielder this summer and Bruno Fernandes is said to be at the top of the transfer target.
The Red Devils lost the services of Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera this summer and Bruno Fernandes could be his direct replacement at the heart of the Manchester United midfield.
Ander Herrera has signed for French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on a free transfer after his contract ended at Manchester United in June.
The 29-year-old has penned a five-year deal with the French champions until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Bruno Fernandes had a very good season for Sporting Lisbon after he netted 32 goals in addition to 18 assists in all competitions during the last campaign.
The 24-year-old made 53 appearances for Sporting Lisbon last season including 33 games in the league.
Bruno Fernandes scored 20 goals and 13 assists in the league alone.
The Portuguese international has also been linked with other Premier League sides like Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
