North London giants Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of making their second signing of this summer’s transfer window.

According to the publication from trusted Spanish newspaper AS, the Gunners are closing in on a move for Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez.

It was revealed that the Spanish international star could join Arsenal as early as Monday in a deal reported to be around £31m including add-ons.

Lucas Vazquez wanted to fight for his spot in the Real Madrid team but the signings of the likes of Luka Jovic, Eden Hazard and Rodrygo Goes have forced him to change his mind.

Real Madrid have spent a lot of money on the aforementioned signings thus putting Lucas Vazquez on the brink of the first team.

Lucas Vazquez is seen as a cheaper option to Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha for Arsenal.

Crystal Palace have slapped an asking price of £80m on Zaha which is two times the first bid made by the Gunners for the Ivorian international star.

Zaha is still hopeful that Crystal Palace will agree on a deal with his boyhood club Arsenal.

The 26-year-old recently admitted that he supported Arsenal as a boy and that has fuelled the transfer rumours linking him with a transfer to the Gunners.
