Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has reportedly turned down a move to French Ligue 1 giants Lyon during this summer’s transfer window.
According to French publication L’Equipe, Eric Bailly is not keen to leave Manchester United for France.
The Ivorian international star wants to stay at Manchester United to fight for his place in the team ahead of the new season billed to start next month.
Eric Bailly has spent three years at Manchester United since his move from Spanish La Liga club Villarreal.
Manchester United paid £30m to secure his transfer from the Yellow Submarines in the summer of 2016.

He was the first signing of the Jose Mourinho managerial era at Manchester United which ended in December 2018.
Eric Bailly started his Manchester United career well but various injury problems have led to stunted growth at Old Trafford.
He’s currently out injured due to the knee injury picked up during a Premier League clash with rivals Chelsea towards the end of the last season.
The knee injury has forced him to miss the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt.
The aforementioned report from L’Equipe also revealed that Lyon have identified Arsenal skipper Laurent Koscielny and Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen as alternatives for Eric Bailly.
