Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United will be keen to avoid the disaster of last season by signing quality players to bolster the squad ahead of the challenge ahead.

The Red Devils have been linked with several players in their quest to boost the playing squad with more quality players.

Manchester United finished in a disappointing sixth position at the end of the latest Premier League season and that means a return to the Europa League which they won in 2017.

One of the numerous players linked with Manchester United is Croatian World Cup star Ivan Rakitic who plays his club football for Spanish champions Barcelona.

Manchester United are not the only club keen on a move for Ivan Rakitic with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan also interested in him.

Barcelona are open to the idea of selling Ivan Rakitic if they receive the right offer for the player who has just two years left on his deal.

He would definitely be a quality addition to the Manchester United team.
