Champions League holders Liverpool are open to the possibility of re-signing Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho this summer according to the latest media reports.

Philippe Coutinho has not settled down at Barcelona despite the fact that the Brazilian international has been at the club for over 18 months since his big-money move from Liverpool.

According to a report from the stables of popular French media outlet Le10 Sport, the Reds are open to the idea of signing Philippe Coutinho despite the fact that he left the club in controversial circumstances.

Philippe Coutinho practically forced his way out of Liverpool during the 2018 winter transfer window.

The former Inter Milan player joined Barcelona from Liverpool in a deal believed to be around £142m.

The transfer made Coutinho the third most expensive player but he has not lived up to the hype.

Apart from Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho has been linked with other major European sides like French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Manchester United and Chelsea.

The player is said to favour a move to West London giants Chelsea this summer though the Blues will have to overturn their two-window transfer ban with their appeal against the ban due for hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) soon.
