Man Utd Lead Race To Sign 28-goal Midfield Maestro

It seems a revamp will soon begin at Man United as the Red Devils are connected with a move for Portugal and Sporting Lisbon midfielder, Bruno Fernandez, a player who was in red hot form for his club last season, racking up 28 goals.

The English club was said to have called a meeting with the Portugal international player’s club for next week, seeking to close a deal for the talisman who could play in up to three midfield roles.

Portuguese outlet, A Bola, reported that Manchester City have ruled out a move for the 24-year old.

They were rumoured to be moving in to sign the Sporting Lisbon’s number 8, but they have told the same outlet that they are not prepared to bid for the Portuguese who had 13 assists to his name last season.

Manchester United will be competing with champions league finalists Tottenham Hotspur for his signature, but the Red Devils are in pole position for his signature.

Mauricio Pochettino led Spurs are looking to replace Danish playmaker, Christian Eriksen, who has made known to Spurs, his desire to leave the North Londoners and they have seen Fernandez as the player who can fill the midfield void for the upcoming season.
