New deal given to trio causes rancor in United camp

The English Premier League outfit Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had earlier made it clear that he expects most of his players to leave the club in the summer transfer window, in what seems like a massive overhaul.

But the overhaul is not expected to touch all players as the club had already handed new contracts to Ashley Young, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones earlier on.

It would be recalled that Chris Smalling had signed a contract extension in December to remain with the Old Trafford until 2022 while Ashley Young was handed another year deal with the same largesse not extended to other players.

It is, therefore, claimed that some of the players are unhappy that the wish of other players, including the Spanish stopper David De Gea who has requested for an increase in his pay has not been granted.

This is reported to have split the dressing room as some players loyal to the former Atletico Madrid stopper seek to find justice while some are willing to leave the club in the summer window.

Howbeit, the Red Devils manager seems to have identified the issues in his team and has resolved to rebuild the team with some new faces expected ahead of the coming season.
