The English Premier League outfit Liverpool young goalkeeper Shamal George has refuted claims that he is leaving the Anfield as he stated that he is still a Reds’ player ahead of the season.

Shamal George is currently with the youth team and hoping that he gets an opportunity to be in the first team anytime soon as he reflects on how the season went for him on his social media page.

There were fears that he could leave the club, knowing that he is of big quality and has a bright future but that has been dismissed despite claims that he already has some suitors who are seeking for his signature.

Shamal George is only 21 years old but he has been able to meet up with the U23 team and that has been his level of experience, especially since he has had loan spells with Tranmere Rovers and Carlisle United in the past.

Should Shamal George eventually break into the first team, he would be faced with the challenge of beating the competition from Brazilian international Alisson Becker who has helped to stabilize the Reds defence.

Liverpool suffered disappointment in the 2017/2018 season as a result of poor goalkeeping but that has been corrected by Alisson Becker.
