Emerging reports at the Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid reveal that there seem to be unrest between the club president Florentino Perez and manager Zinedine Zidane over the club’s interest in Senegal international and club interestar Sadio Mane ahead of the coming summer transfer window.
The former Southampton man has been on the radar of the Spanish side as he has impressed this season with a total of 26 goals across all competitions in addition to helping the Reds team to reach the finals of the UEFA Champions League.
He has gone on to score 59 goals in 122 appearances for Liverpool since joining in 2016.
Reports claim that the Merseyside outfit have requested for the sum of £173 million which is now the major contending issue at the Spanish capital.
It is claimed that Madrid president has refused to sanction the move because of the huge fee but there has been pressure from Zinedine Zidane insisting that the amount be spent on the player.
Zinedine Zidane is keen to work with the Senegal international but the major point of concern for Florentino Perez is the huge fee, knowing that Sadio Mane will not be the only player that would be welcomed to the club ahead of the coming season for the rebuilding of the team.
However, it is yet to be seen if Liverpool will let go of Sadio Mane after Jurgen Klopp claimed that he would keep his team together.
Meanwhile, having scored against Real Madrid in last season’s Champions League final, Mane is gearing up to face Tottenham in the European showpiece on June 1.
