The West London outfit Chelsea have been handed a transfer ban that will stop them from registering new players for the next two transfer windows.
The Blues team went against the FIFA rule on signing foreign minors and that has attracted the ban.
This, therefore, means the West London outfit will not be able to register any new player as such, having new faces in the coming season aside American star Christian Pulisic whose deal has already been completed before the ban was placed.
However, Chelsea have got one Real Madrid player, Mateo Kovacic who could be available for them despite the transfer ban to bring in before the start of the season.
Mateo Kovacic registered as a loan player after spending some time at the Stamford Bridge and that is the only saving grace the Blues have got because they have an option of a permanent deal which is now being considered for activation.
However, in very clear terms, a permanent deal for Kovacic will not be affected by the FIFA ban that prevents Chelsea from signing players for the next two transfer windows.
Meanwhile, Mateo Kovacic’s performance within his one-year loan spell at the Stamford Bridge remains an impressive one after playing 32 times in the Premier League.
