Premier League giants Manchester United have received a huge transfer blow in their pursuit of Paris Saint Germain (PSG) defender Thomas Meunier.
The Red Devils were said to be making headway in their quest to sign him this summer until his interview with reporters earlier this weekend.
Thomas Meunier talked about his future immediately after the league game with Dijon on Saturday evening as he revealed that he wants to stay at PSG beyond this summer.
The Belgian international was quick to point out that the decision to stay or leave the French capital club in the summer is not in his hands.
According to him, he will like to see out his contract at the club.
Meunier has one year left on his contract with PSG at the moment and the French Ligue 1 champions might sell him rather than risk losing him for free.
Manchester United are in desperate need of a new right-back ahead of next season and Meunier is one of their main targets for that position.
With one year left on his current deal with PSG, Manchester United will be able to get him for a moderate transfer fee.
He has won two league titles in his three-year spell at the club till date.
