London club Crystal Palace have slapped a big price tag on one of their prized assets in a bid to ward of the interest of the bigger teams.
Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been in sensational form for the Eagles this season in what’s his first campaign with the first team at Selhurst Park.
He was rewarded with the Player of the Season Award at Crystal Palace for his performances in the colours of the South London outfit this season, especially in the Premier League.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka displaced the experienced Joel Ward as the first choice right-back at Crystal Palace at the start of the season and he has not looked back since then.
Major Premier League teams like Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with a move for him this summer.
The Red Devils are said to be in pole position for him with Manchester United desperately in need of a new right-back ahead of next season.
Manchester United players like Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Diogo Dalot and Ashley Young were given the opportunity to stake a claim for a right-back berth consistently but they didn’t take their respective chances.
According to the publication from Daily Mail, Crystal Palace have slapped a £60m on the aforementioned Wan-Bissaka to ward off the interest of Manchester United and the other clubs.
Manchester United In Talks To Sign EPL Best Right-back
Three-time European champions Manchester United are in talks to sign one of the best right-backs on the Premier League scene.
Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka had a breakthrough season in the colours of the Eagles during the just concluded campaign and that has elevated him to be one of the best right-sided defenders in the Premier League.
Apart from the fact that Aaron Wan-Bissaka is one of the best right-backs in the top flight of English football, the England junior international is also one of the most sought-after defenders on the Premier League scene.
Manchester United have made a £40m bid for him which was rejected by his club Crystal Palace who are holding out for at least £60m.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have concluded plans to make an improved offer for Wan-Bissaka.
The Red Devils want to sign a new right-back having targeted that position as one of the areas to be strengthened ahead of the new season.
Manchester United are not the only ones interested in Aaron Wan-Bissaka after the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City also showed interest in the 21-year-old defender.
German clubs Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund also showed interest in him.

Arsenal Move For £90m Zaha Dies After Europa League Debacle
North London giants Arsenal will no longer pursue a move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha this summer after the failure to qualify for Champions League football next season.
The Gunners had already missed out on Europe’s premier club competition via the league route after finishing in fifth position.
Only the first four teams in the league are guaranteed Champions League football for next season.
Arsenal had a second opportunity to secure Champions League football by winning the Europa League but they blew it following the 4-1 thrashing handed out to them by London rivals Chelsea.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery had £40m to spend on transfers before the Europa League final and the money would have increased if he secured the money-spinning Champions League football for the Gunners.
According to the publication from the stables of popular English news portal Daily Mirror, Unai Emery will have to raise money from player sales to fund new players meaning that Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha is out of reach.
Arsenal want to sign the Ivorian international but the lack of Champions League football has hurt their chances of doing a deal for him after South London giants Crystal Palace slapped a whopping sum of £40m on him.
Financial Restraint: Arsenal Set To Miss Out On Palace Winger
Europa League finalists Arsenal are most likely to miss out on Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha during this summer’s transfer window which opened some days ago.
This is according to widespread reports emanating from the media in the United Kingdom.
Wilfried Zaha has already told Crystal Palace about his desire to leave the club this summer in favour of a move to a Champions League playing team.
The Ivorian international attacker is ready to have a crack at a top club once again following his disappointing spell at Manchester United four years ago.
Zaha joined Manchester United in the summer of 2013, six months after his transfer was announced.
He was the last transfer conducted by Sir Alex Ferguson before his retirement in 2013 but the player didn’t have the best of times under David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal.
Zaha was loaned to Cardiff City and then former club Crystal Palace who he joined permanently in 2015.
He has been a key player for his boyhood club since his return to the club but it’s time to leave according to Zaha.
Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in the player and he has been slapped with an £80m transfer fee by Crystal Palace.
According to The Sun, Arsenal might miss out on the transfer with the Gunners willing to pay half of the price tag.
