The Merseyside outfit Liverpool are ready to part ways with their young lad and Nigerian international Taiwo Awoniyi as they have set an asking price of £10 million as the transfer window approaches.

Since joining the Reds team in 2015, Taiwo Awoniyi has been unable to play at the Anfield as securing a work permit for him has been a major issue.

This is why he has had loan spells with FSV Frankfurt, NEC, Royal Mouscorn and Gent since the agreement was reached.

He is now being linked with a move to Schalke as they are reportedly keen to land the star player in this summer transfer window.

The inability to secure a working permit has not stopped Taiwo Awoniyi from showing his quality as he has scored 12 goals so far in 37 games for Mouscron in his second stint at the club.

However, analysts have argued that the Reds team would have done good business to land £10 million for the former Imperial Academy player as it is unsure if he would be break into the first team of the Jurgen Klopp side.

Liverpool can boast of quality attackers with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino as they have been firing so far at the Anfield.
