There is tension at the West London outfit over the future of manager Maurizio Sarri ahead of the coming season with speculations that he could be sacked by Roman Abramovich, the club owner.

It has been reported that with the inconsistent result at the Stamford Bridge the Chelsea owner severally made attempts to sack the former Napoli boss but for unknown reasons, he has decided to cease fire.

Despite struggling, Maurizio Sarri has been able to secure a Champions League spot for the Blues team by managing to finish third in the Premier League table. He took the team to the Carabao Cup finals where he lost on penalties to Man City.

More to that is the fact that the Blues team will be playing in the Europa League finals against North London outfit Arsenal which is a major hope of landing a title this season.

However, it is reported that Roman Abramovich is still not comfortable with the sour relationship with Sarri and the fans which is the reason why he considers the club legend Frank Lampard for the job.

Frank Lampard who is doing a good job with Derby County has therefore reacted to the link as he claims he would not want to talk about any move to Chelsea despite his love and respect for the club. He insisted that he would remain with his Championship side.
