Belgian striker Divock Origi remains one of Liverpool’s most celebrated players this season as a result of the wonder goals he has been able to score to deliver important wins to the manager Jurgen Klopp team.

Divock Origi was the saviour in the first leg of the Merseyside derby against Everton as he came from the bench to score the lone goal while he was again available to help his team with their win against Newcastle in the English Premier League.

The biggest was his brace in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League finals against Barcelona and that almost turned him to a hero with lots of praise showered on him.

However, emerging reports claim that the Reds team are moving in for the signature of Maxi Gomez in the summer transfer window to be able to strengthen the team for next season’s challenge.

Maxi Gomez has got a release clause of £41 million which makes him a big money deal and a factor to be considered for selection ahead of the Belgian international.

Pundits have therefore argued that a move for Maxi Gomez will mean a return to the bench for Divock Origi and that has the potential of giving him a setback in his career.
