French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are said to be favourites to sign highly rated Ajax Amsterdam winger David Neres.
PSG are one of the clubs on the hunt for the Brazilian international ahead of the summer’s transfer window.
According to the report from UOL Esporte, PSG are ahead of others in the race to sign David Neres but they will have to contend with other major European sides in their bid to sign the Brazilian attacker.
Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Everton are all interested in the player.
David Neres has had his best campaign for Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam since his transfer from Brazilian Serie A outfit Sao Paolo three years ago.
He has been a top performer for Ajax this season especially in the Champions League though the Brazilian player missed the second leg of their semifinal tie with Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
Ajax Amsterdam had beaten Spurs 1-0 in the first leg courtesy a first half strike from Donny Van Der Beek with David Neres in the team.
The Dutch Cup winners lost the second leg 3-2 at home without the aforementioned David Neres who sustained a hamstring injury in the warm-up.
In the end, Tottenham Hotspur qualified for the Champions League final via the away goals rule.
