Premier League giants Manchester United want to bolster their squad in the forward positions and they have already identified Lille winger Nicolas Pepe as a major transfer target ahead of next season.
This is according to the publication from popular English news portal Daily Mirror which claimed that the Red Devils have concluded plans to make a move for the young Ivorian international forward.
It was revealed that Manchester United are keen on a £45m swoop for him this summer.
Nicolas Pepe has been a revelation in the top flight of French football since his move from Amiens to Lille at the start of last season.
Pepe has been the standout player in French football this season ahead of better known players like Neymar and Kylian Mbappe (PSG).
He has scored 20 league goals for Lille this season in addition to 11 assists and the winger has been instrumental to the return of Champions League football to his club.
Lille have already secured Champions League football after second place was assured behind champions PSG.
Manchester United are not the only club interested in the aforementioned Pepe with others like Bayern Munich, PSG and Arsenal also interested in him.
He was linked with the Gunners in January but the move didn’t materialize.
