Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood was the only shining light on a disastrous day for the Red Devils in the Premier League.

The Manchester United Academy graduate was the only positive from the final game of the season in the Premier League.

Mason Greenwood made history as the youngest player ever to make a Premier League start for Manchester United at the age of 17 years and 223 days.

During his post-match press conference, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that the aforementioned Greenwood was the best player for his team by a country mile.

Welsh team Cardiff City have already suffered relegation from the top flight of English football but they still had more than enough to beat Manchester United in front of their fans.

In their last game of the season, Manchester United were beaten 2-0 by already relegated Cardiff City at the Theatre of Dreams.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scored both goals for the visitors either side of the halftime interval.

The winger was fouled in the box in the first half of the game by Diogo Dalot and he picked himself up to tuck away the penalty for the first goal of the game.

Mendez-Laing wrapped up the points for Cardiff City in the second half.
