Premier League giants Manchester United will reportedly face a serious fight in the quest to sign Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.
This is according to the publication from The Sun which claimed that Harry Maguire will play his last game for the Foxes against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon before the scramble for his signature begins amongst the major Premier League clubs.
Maguire is expected to play a big role for Leicester City in their final league game of the season, a home meeting with Chelsea, before the £60m battle to sign him amongst four English clubs.
The aforementioned report claimed that Manchester United will do battle with the trio of Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal for the defender.
Chelsea in shock move for this Cardiff star
The North London duo of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are especially in need of a new defender ahead of the new season just like what’s obtainable with Manchester United.
Tottenham are almost resigned to losing defender Toby Alderweireld to another club with a year left on his current contract and a £25m release clause thereby creating the need for a replacement for him.
On Arsenal’s part, they have identified the centre back position as an area that needs strengthening ahead of the new season scheduled to start in August.
