French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have initiated talks in a bid to sign highly rated Lille winger Nicolas Pepe ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
Nicolas Pepe is one of the hottest prospects on the transfer market in Europe following his superb season for Lille.
His form has propelled Lille to the Champions League for next season via a second-place finish in the French top flight.
The Ivorian international star has been in scintillating form for Lille since joining the club from fellow French Ligue 1 side Amiens are the start of last season.
According to Yahoo Sport, Lille could do a deal with PSG for at least €50m.
PSG are not the only clubs keen on a deal for Nicolas Pepe with clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona also interested in him.
Arsenal have identified the wing forward position as one to be strengthened ahead of this summer and Pepe has been targeted though it remains to be seen whether the Gunners have the required funds needed for a transfer for him.
Nicolas Pepe has scored 20 goals for Lille in the league this season in addition to 11 assists.
He has a total of 31 goal contributions in just 35 league games this season.
