The latest report has hinted that the Merseyside outfit are set to hand a new and improved contract to their Champions League hero Divock Origi as soon as the season is over.

According to the reports, talks have already begun and it would be completed at the end of the season as they now seek to keep him at the club.

Divock Origi delivered two goals in the Champion League comeback against Barcelona during the semi-final game to help his team proceed to the finals of the competition.

This season has been a remarkable one for Divock Origi despite not having enough playing time as he has been able to act as a savior of the team when there is a need for help.

It would be recalled that Divock Origi helped the Liverpool with the 3 points in a late winner against Everton in the Merseyside outfit and he repeated same later winner against Newcastle of recent.

This keeps him in the position to compete for a starting shirt against Brazilian international Roberto Firmino in the Jurgen Klopp team.

Meanwhile, Divock Origi earlier pushed for a move away from the club as he was not handed enough playing time but he has now become the savior so far this season.
