Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed that he would work on his fitness during the summer.
Jack Wilshere currently plays his club football for Premier League side West Ham United whom he joined on a free transfer from the Gunners at the start of this season.
England international Wilshere spoke to the official website of West Ham United about his fitness problems and his plan to return to full fitness.
According to him, he will work on his fitness in the summer instead of taking the customary break in a bid to prepare himself for the new season which starts in August.
Jack Wilshere has battled with two major ankle injuries this season and that has restricted him to a handful of appearances for the Hammers in his first season at the club.
He made his return from injury at the weekend during the league win over Southampton.
West Ham United won their last home game of the season in the Premier League via a 3-0 victory over Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
Wilshere played the last 25 minutes of that game for the Hammers as he made his return from injury.
The Arsenal Academy graduate still has two years left on the three-year deal that he signed when he joined the Hammers last summer.
