Manchester United might have missed out on one of their transfer targets ahead of the summer after it was revealed that Italian Serie A giants Napoli have agreed to a deal for the said player.
PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving Lozano is a long-term target for Manchester United but he’s closing in on a move to Napoli according to the publication from popular Italian news portal Corriere dello Sport.
According to the Italian media outlet, Napoli have agreed to a €40m for the Mexican international star.
Hirving Lozano has been in very good form for PSV Eindhoven this season after netting 17 league goals for the Dutch Eredivisie giants in their quest to retain the league title they won last season.
In addition, Lozano also has eight assists this season.
Lozano and PSV are in a two-way battle for the Dutch league title with treble-chasing Ajax Amsterdam who have a better goal difference than the holders.
Both teams are on the same point with two games left to play in the Dutch Eredivisie this season.
Ajax Amsterdam are chasing glory in three competitions including the league title.
The four-time European champions are also after major honours in both the Champions League (semifinal vs Tottenham Hotspur) and the Dutch Cup (final vs Willem II).
