Premier League giants Manchester United might miss out on one of their transfer targets this summer following the news that the player has agreed on a contract with Real Madrid.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has been linked with a move away from his club this summer especially to major European sides like Manchester United and Real Madrid.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Danish international star Eriksen has agreed on a contract with Real Madrid.
It was revealed that the former Ajax Amsterdam player will earn €4m per annum at Real Madrid if his transfer is successful.
Christian Eriksen has just one year left on his present contract at Tottenham Hotspur having failed to agree on a contract extension with the North London club.
Despite the fact that he has one year left on his contract at Tottenham Hotspur, Eriksen is valued at €150m and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United or Real Madrid will pay the aforementioned transfer fee for him.
For now, the focus of both Eriksen and Tottenham Hotspur is on the Champions League.
Spurs are in the semifinals of the Champions League and have already lost the first leg 1-0 at home to Ajax Amsterdam.
The second leg meeting is scheduled for next week Wednesday.
