Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba will have to take a pay cut for his dream move to Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.
This is according to the publication from popular media channel ESPN which claimed that the Red Devils will have to take a pay cut on his £290,000 p/w salary at Manchester United.
Paul Pogba has previously talked up a dream move to Real Madrid despite the fact that he has two years left on his current deal with the Red Devils.
Manchester United also have the option of extending his contract by a further year to take it to the summer of 2022.
Real Madrid are expected to boost their playing squad this summer as part of their rebuilding job and Pogba is said to be one of the main targets on their transfer list.
The French World Cup winner is no stranger to Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane who’s expected to spearhead the rebuilding drive at the Spanish club.
Pogba has attracted severe criticism at Manchester United this term especially when the Red Devils post poor results.
Despite the critics, Paul Pogba was the only non-Manchester City or non-Liverpool player named on the PFA Team of the Year list as compiled from votes by fellow professionals.
