Premier League giants Manchester United have received a big transfer boost in their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier following the news that a sizeable bid from Italian Serie A giants Napoli has been rejected for the player.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli have had a bid of around £15m to £17m rejected for the aforementioned Trippier.

It was revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are demanding close to £30m for the England international right-back who was one of the standout performers for the Three Lions at the last FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

Kieran Trippier is one of several Spurs players that could leave the club this summer with Manchester United also interested in him.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new right-back and the 28-year-old fits the bill of what Manchester United want with the current recipients of the position struggling for form.

The likes of Diogo Dalot and Ashley Young have not been convincing in the right-back position this season while former first choice Antonio Valencia has struggled for fitness this term and he’s expected to leave the club in the coming weeks.

Manchester United will definitely rebuild their playing squad this summer and Trippier could be one of the players to join the new revolution at the club under former Red Devils striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
