French Ligue 1 giants Lyon are preparing to make a move for Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof according to reports emanating from the British media.
According to the specific publication from The Sun, Lyon want to explore the option of boosting their defensive department with a transfer for Swedish international Lindelof who has spent just two years at Old Trafford.
Lindelof signed for Manchester United two years ago from Portuguese Super League giants Benfica for a fee believed to be around £35m.
It was revealed that Lyon are also interested in a move for his centre back partner at Manchester United, Eric Bailly.
Lindelof and Bailly were in good form at the weekend as they both started the Premier League game against Chelsea.
The two players formed a potent centre back partnership as Manchester United played out a 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea in the quest for a top-four finish in the Premier League and Champions League football for next season.
The Red Devils are in a four-team fight with Chelsea and two others for just two Champions League football spots for next season.
Apart from Lyon, Eric Bailly has also been touted as a potential signing for clubs like Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan.
