Man Utd Need Defensive Revamp After Barcelona Thrashing



Manchester United legend Gary Neville is certain that his former club needs defensive reinforcements after the thrashing handed out to them by their Champions League opponents Barcelona.

Both teams met in the quarterfinals of the competition but the Spaniards showed their clash at the expense of Manchester United with a 3-0 victory and a 4-0 aggregate win to secure a semifinal berth.

While speaking on the disappointing loss suffered by Manchester United, former Red Devils right-back Gary told BeIN Sports that his former club will have to improve their squad defensively.

According to him, Manchester United need a defensive revamp to be able to compete with big clubs like Barcelona.

Gary Neville also said that current Red boss and former Manchester United teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a lot of work to do in terms of squad reinforcement ahead of next season.

The Manchester United defence was not able to withstand the star quality of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi who scored a first-half brace to set his team on their way to victory.

Messi scored the first goal on 16 minutes before he added a second goal some four minutes later.

Philippe Coutinho wrapped up the dominant win over Manchester United with a fine goal in the second half.

Money Liverpool Will Lose As Coutinho Joins Bayern



Premier League giants Liverpool have also been affected by the Barcelona exit of former player Philippe Coutinho on Monday.

Brazilian international Coutinho became a Bayern player earlier in the week following his loan transfer from Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona.

According to the UL Mirror, his loan move to Bayern Munich has a big financial consequence on Liverpool whom he left to join Barcelona at the start of last year.

It was revealed that Liverpool will lose at least £23m because of the loan transfer from Barcelona to the Allianz Arena.

Philippe Coutinho became the most expensive Barcelona signing in January after he completed a £142m deal to the Nou Camp.

Barcelona paid £105m upfront plus £37m in add-ons.

Liverpool won’t get the majority of the add-ons from the transfer to Barcelona after Coutinho left the club to join the Bavarian giants on Monday.

The 27-year-old will wear the number 10 jersey at the Allianz Arena.

Philippe Coutinho will be the direct replacement for Real Madrid loanee James Rodriguez who spent two seasons at Bayern.

James Rodriguez left Real Madrid to join Bayern Munich on loan in the summer of 2017 and he went on to win two league titles for the Bavarian giants.

Barcelona Confirm €8.5m Deal For Coutinho To Join New Club

Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have confirmed the exit of midfielder Philippe Coutinho to German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

The announcement was made by the Spanish champions on Monday.

Coutinho will join Bayern Munich on a season-long loan deal with the option for a permanent transfer.

Bayern will pay €8.5m for the loan deal and part with €120m if they want to make the loan deal a permanent one.

Philippe Coutinho will wear the number 10 jersey at his new club.

The former Liverpool star didn’t have the best of times at Barcelona.

He spent 18 months at the Nou Camp but the Brazilian international didn’t live up to his hefty price tag.

Philippe Coutinho is the most expensive player in the history of Barcelona after the Catalan giants paid €160m for his transfer from Premier League giants Liverpool.

He left the reigning European champions controversially for Barcelona in January 2018.

During his 18 months at Barcelona, Philippe Coutinho helped the club to win two Spanish La Liga titles as well as the 2017/18 Spanish Copa Del Rey title.

Philippe Coutinho would be the direct replacement for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez who spent the last two years at Bayern Munich on loan from the Spanish giants.

Coutinho Speaks On Failed Barcelona Career

New Bayern Munich signing Philippe Coutinho has spoken about his failed career at Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona.

Coutinho talked about his time with Barcelona during his official presentation as a Bayern Munich player.

According to him, things didn’t work out the way he wanted.

Philippe Coutinho went on to add that his Barcelona spell is in the past and that his focus is on his new club.

The Brazilian international has signed for Bayern Munich on loan until next summer.

The 27-year-old will spend the rest of this season at the Allianz Arena as Bayern Munich chase down honors in three major competitions namely the Champions League, German Bundesliga and the German Cup.

Bayern Munich have paid €8.5m for his loan transfer from Barcelona and they have the option to make the deal a permanent one for the sum of €220m.

Coutinho has been handed the number 10 jersey at Bayern Munich.

He will be the direct replacement for Colombian international star James Rodriguez who was at Bayern Munich until this summer.

James Rodriguez joined the Bavarian giants on a two-year loan deal and that expired earlier in the summer.

Philippe Coutinho made just 22 starts for Barcelona last season after a run of eight goals in his first 18 league games as a Barcelona player.

Thomas Tuchel Gives Condition For Neymar’s Exit




Paris Saint Germain (PSG) manager Thomas Tuchel has given the condition required for the exit of star player Neymar.

The Brazilian international player wants to leave PSG this summer after two seasons in the French capital of Paris.

In a chat with French news channel Canal+, Thomas Tuchel said that PSG have to sign a replacement before Neymar is allowed to leave the club.

Neymar is attracting interest from the two major Spanish clubs namely Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Earlier reports claimed that PSG is open to a loan move for Neymar with an option to sign him permanently at the end of that loan deal.

The player’s preference is to return to Barcelona whom he left for PSG two years ago.

Neymar spent four years at Barcelona between 2013 and 2017 before his transfer to PSG.

During his time at Barcelona, Neymar formed a potent attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

The three players were at Barcelona for three years between 2014 and 2017 before Neymar joined PSG in a deal reported to be around €220m.
