Former Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha has talked about how his club stopped Manchester City and their title bid during their first Premier League meeting of the season last year.

Zaha plays his club football for London club Crystal Palace at the moment having returned to the club from the Red Devils in a permanent transfer in 2015.

The Ivorian international player told Sky Sports the tactical approach used to nullify Manchester City.

Zaha and Crystal Palace stunned the footballing world when they handed Manchester City their first home league defeat of the season via a 3-2 win

It’s their one and only defeat at home (Etihad Stadium) till date.

According to Zaha, the best way to nullify top teams is to get in their faces and stop them before breaking on them.

He also pointed out that chances must be converted when they come against the big boys like Manchester City.

Jeffrey Schlupp, Andros Townsend and a penalty from Luka Milivojevic gave Crystal Palace the three goals while Ilkay Gundogan and substitute Kevin De Bruyne scored the goals for the hosts.

Wilfried Zaha talked about the game at the Etihad Stadium earlier in the season as both teams prepare to meet again on Sunday afternoon in what’s their second league clash of the season.

Manchester City suffered their first loss of the current league season against Crystal Palace and both teams meet again with the Citizens hoping to get a win to take them back to the Premier League summit.
