West London outfit Chelsea has been told by pundits that they have themselves to blame if they fail to secure qualification to the Champions League next season.

The Blues team suffered a setback again in their bid for a top-four finish after they were defeated by Liverpool 2-0 in the Premier League clash on Sunday.

This season has proved that the manager Maurizio Sarri team have been shy against big teams as they struggled against all top-six sides in their meetings.

Now they could be facing the consequence and might continue with the Europa League in the coming season because their fate is out of their hands.

Pundits have now established that the Blues team made a mistake in the last January winter transfer window by not securing a prolific striker that would have helped the team with goals.

The Blues team had secured the signature of Gonzalo Higuain from Italian Serie A outfit Juventus on a loan deal after releasing Alvaro Morata to Atletico Madrid on loan but he is yet to deliver goals as expected despite the hype of the Italian manager.

Meanwhile, the Blues team are now at the mercy of Arsenal and Man United as they might not see a qualification.
