Chelsea facing West Ham rivalry for Atlanta striker

Two London sides Chelsea and West Ham United are set to clash over the signature of Atlanta striker Duvan Zapata ahead of the coming summer transfer window.

The West London outfit, Chelsea are currently facing a transfer ban but they hope it would not stand as their appeal would be held tomorrow, April 11.

However, the Blues have identified Duvan Zapata as the best fit for the club as they battle with their lack of cutting edge as France international Olivier Giroud has failed to deliver goals.

Duvan Zapata has so far this season, scored 25 goals across all competitions for his Italian Serie A side which makes him the best fit for the club.

It is suggested that manager Maurizio Sarri has already told the club to engage in the coming summer window as they would not be able to compete with the level of players at the club especially with the expected departure of Belgium international Eden Hazard.

However, the Serie A outfit are reported to be asking for the fee of £43 million for the signature of the star striker as they will be ready to grant the player his wish of playing in the English Premier League.
