English Premier League outfit Liverpool now have the presence of defender Joe Gomez in the team but he is yet to see any game. Manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that there is a need to be patient with the player because he needs more intense training.

Joe Gomez has been away due to his broken leg since December and has undergone two different surgeries since then. He has now fully returned to training but he seems not to be close to playing a game yet.

Before his injury, Joe Gomez was solid in his defending alongside Virgil Van Dijk and they both ensured that the Jurgen Klopp team keep more clean sheets than any other English Premier League side.

Now that he is back, the German manager has stated that Joe Gomez is one or two weeks away from injury because of his need to train since he has been gone for long without training.

However, he noted that the player could be forced to return if there is an urgent need for him but until that happens, he would be given special attention in training to be able to be match fit.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp noted that Joe Gomez is a brilliant player who will return to help the team.
