Brazilian international and Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho has stated that hailed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a great manager who has turned the Reds team to a performing side.

It would be recalled that Philippe Coutinho worked under the German boss before forcing a move to the Spanish La Liga side in a record fee of £142 million and it seems to have benefitted the Reds team more because the money has been used to secure the signature of Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton.

Virgil Van Dijk has become a solid figure in the team and has been able to help manager Jurgen Klopp challenge for titles as a result of the number of clean sheets they have had.

However, Philippe Coutinho admitted that the German manager has been able to transform the Liverpool team and make them challenge for titles, noting that it only takes a great manager to be able to achieve that.

He, therefore, stressed that he hopes to meet with his former side in the semi-finals of the Champions League as the winner between Liverpool and Porto will be facing the winner between Barcelona and Man United.

Meanwhile, the Reds team still have their eyes on the English Premier League as they hope to win it after 29 years.
