Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has revealed that they are ready for the unfriendly atmosphere expected at Manchester United ahead of their Champions League quarterfinal clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Spanish champions Barcelona travel to Manchester to take on the Red Devils in the first leg of their last eight tie in the Champions League later this week before the second leg at the Nou Camp next week.
Philippe Coutinho and Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez were previously at Liverpool and the two players are expected to receive an unfriendly reception from Manchester United.
Liverpool and Manchester United have an age-long rivalry.
In a chat with the Daily Mirror, Coutinho said that they (and Luis Suarez) are ready to deal with the expected boos from the Manchester United supporters.
Philippe Coutinho has not had the best of times in Spain since his expensive move to the Nou Camp but the Brazilian international would be hoping to make a telling impact when he faces a Premier League team for the first time since his transfer from Liverpool at the start of last year.
The Brazilian playmaker is the third most expensive player at the moment following his £142m transfer to Barcelona in January 2018.
He has struggled to live up to that price tag.
