LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic found the back of the net twice on his return to the MLS (Major League Soccer) on Sunday night.
The former Manchester United player has been out for a month before the game against Portland Timbers with his last appearance coming on the 2nd of March.
He recently returned to LA Galaxy training after recovering from an Achilles injury.
Ibrahimovic scored two penalties either side of the halftime interval to give his team a third win in four games via a 2-1 win over Portland Timbers at home.
He gave LA Galaxy the lead with his first penalty of the game in the 33rd minute after Claude Diena fouled him in the box.
The visitors went on to equalise with a minute left to play in the first half through Jeremy Ebibosse as both sides went into the halftime interval level.
LA Galaxy managed to win the game in the second half through a 65th minute penalty from the ageless Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has now scored three goals in two league games in the MLS this season.
The hosts didn’t have the result their own way but they were able to preserve their lead once they went ahead for the second time in the game.
