Former Arsenal winger Gervinho was on target for his club in their home league game against European football chasers Atalanta on Sunday evening.
Gervinho plays his club football for Italian Serie A club Parma at the moment.
He scored the opening goal for Parma who surrendered that lead to lose 3-1 to Atalanta in front of their home fans.
Chelsea loanee Mario Pasalic scored the equaliser for the visitors in the 24th minute before a brace from Duvan Zapata gave them the win.
Colombian international Duvan Zapata scored the first of his two goals with fifteen minutes left on the clock before he wrapped up the win in added time.
Ivorian international attacker Gervinho has been in very good form for Parma this term.
His strike against Atalanta was his 10th goal of the season.
He has made 21 starts and two substitute appearances for Parma in the league in what’s his first season at the club.
Gervinho played for 65 minutes against Atalanta before he was replaced by Marcello Gazzolla.
Parma suffered just their sixth defeat of the season in their first campaign back in the Italian Serie A after three seasons.
They are in 11th position on the table with 33 points ahead of Wednesday’s visit to relegation-threatened side Frosinone.
