Three-time European champions Manchester United are winless in the two games played with next opponents Wolverhampton Wanderers this season.

The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw with Wolves at home in their first meeting of the season in the Premier League.

Wolves are back in the top flight of English football after manager Nuno Espirito Santo masterminded their promotion from the English Championship at the end of last season.

Both teams met for the second time this season in March in the FA Cup and it was the underdogs who emerged victorious at the end of their quarterfinal clash at the Molineux.

Wolves attackers Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota scored in the second half to give the Midlands club a 2-0 win over the Red Devils as well as a spot in the semifinals of the FA Cup.

Manchester United are in the race for the top four places on the Premier League and are badly in need of a win in their second Premier League meeting of the season with Wolves.

William Hill has backed the Red Devils to secure that needed win at the Molineux at the odds of 1.95 while a victory for the hosts is at the odds of 3.80.

A likely draw between the two sides is at the odds of 3.60.
