Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has revealed that Arsene Wenger is not the man to solve the obvious problems at French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
Ex-Gunners boss Wenger has been linked with the director of football role at PSG as a replacement for current recipient Antero Henrique but Petit believes his former manager is not the right man for the job.
Emmanuel Petit played under Wenger when the Frenchman was the Arsenal manager.
The 1998 FIFA World Cup winner told Omnisport that the biggest problem at PSG is the lack of authority before adding that Wenger is not the type to instil discipline at the club.
French champions PSG have several big players with egos at the club and that has affected the club negatively especially in the Champions League.
PSG were dumped out of the competition this season despite their advantage over Manchester United in the first leg of their last 16 tie.
Manchester United had lost 2-0 in the first leg played at Old Trafford only for the Red Devils to overturn the deficit in Paris via a 3-1 win.
The Red Devils sealed a quarterfinal spot with the help of the away goals and they will now face Spanish champions Barcelona as a result.
