Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti is adamant that star defender Kalidou Koulibaly won’t leave the club when the transfer window reopens in summer.
In his latest interview monitored by the Daily Mirror, the Italian tactician told reporters that one of the club’s prized asset is not for sale despite the intense transfer rumours linking him with a move to other clubs on the European football stage.
Senegalese international star Koulibaly is widely regarded as the best defender in the Italian Serie A having established himself in the top flight of Italian football.
He has been a key player for Napoli since joining them from Belgian side Genk in 2014.
Kalidou Koulibaly has been the leader for Napoli at the back in the first season of Carlo Ancelotti management.
The Senegalese centre back has helped Napoli keep 13 clean sheets in 26 league appearances this season and that has propelled his team to the top-two places on the table ahead of the away game against AS Roma.
Napoli have a 15-point deficit to make up on league leaders Juventus with 12 games left to play.
Manchester United have been strongly linked with Kalidou Koulibaly and the Red Devils will have to spend a world-record fee for a defender to sign him.
