Emerging reports have revealed that France international striker and Chelsea player Olivier Giroud is already in talks with French Ligue 1 outfit Lyon president Jean-Michel over a potential move in the coming summer transfer window.

The former Arsenal forward has been linked with a move away from the West London outfit over his lack of playing time under manager Maurizio Sarri. The star player has not been in good goalscoring form for the Blues team and has been blamed for their lack of wins in some of their games.

It is claimed that Olivier Giroud has been told by Lyon president the project of the club in a bid to convince him to consider a move but the response of the World Cup winner has not been made public.

But it is suggested that Olivier Giroud will seek a move away but will be powerless should the Chelsea team refuse to let him leave.

The West London outfit have been handicapped by the fact that they will not be able to secure any addition in the coming summer transfer window owing to the transfer ban that has been handed to them for running deals involving underage players.

However, the Blues have appealed against the ban and it is expected to be heard in April.
