Former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal (LVG) has slammed Paris Saint Germain (PSG) winger Angel Di Maria for his failed career at Old Trafford.
In a chat with the BBC Sport, LVG revealed that Di Maria had a failed Manchester United career because he was unable to deal with the pressure on the ball in the Premier League.
The Dutchman also said that he tried the Argentine international in different attacking positions but he was unable to perform well for the Red Devils on a consistent basis despite his best efforts.
LVG was reacting to an earlier interview granted by the aforementioned Di Maria in January.
Former Benfica winger Di Maria had granted an interview earlier this year where he revealed that his failure at Manchester United was down to LVG.
Manchester United signed Angel Di Maria for a then club-record deal worth £59.7m in the summer of 2014 shortly after he won the Champions League title with Real Madrid.
He scored 36 goals in 190 appearances for the Los Merengues before joining Manchester United.
Di Maria spent just one season at Old Trafford before signing for French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
He scored just four goals in addition to 12 assists in 32 appearances for the Red Devils.
