UFC star Conor McGregor has narrated how Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo inspires him to become a better athlete.

McGregor spoke in glowing terms about the former Manchester United player in an interview with FIFA.

He praised Ronaldo for his attitude and dedication and that the Portuguese international player has inspired many children to play football.

Conor McGregor gave his recent performance against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League as an example in his bid to highlight the quality of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Cristiano Ronaldo was at his very best as he single-handedly dragged his Juventus into the Champions League quarterfinals at the expense of Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.

Ronaldo and Juventus had lost the first leg 2-0 in Spain with the defensive duo of Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin getting the goals for Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid were unable to deal with the quality of Ronaldo in the second leg of their last 16 tie with Juventus as they succumbed to a 3-0 defeat which was enough to take Juventus into the last eight via a 3-2 aggregate win.

With his treble against Atletico Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 124 Champions League goals in addition to 24 goals for the Old Lady in his first season at the club.

PSG Make Decision On Latest Barcelona Offer

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have made a decision on the latest offer from Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona according to the latest reports from the media.

Barcelona have made several offers to re-sign Neymar and they have so far failed to lure him back to the Nou Camp.

According to ESPN, the latest Barcelona offer of a loan deal for Neymar with the option to buy him permanently at the end of the loan spell was turned down by PSG.

It was also revealed that PSG is adamant that only an offer of at least €222m would be enough to prise Neymar away from the club this summer.

Barcelona have less than two weeks to try and sign Neymar with the European transfer window scheduled to end on September 2.

PSG are skeptical that Barcelona won’t be able to raise the funds required to sign Neymar permanently for €222m if they decided to let him join the Spanish La Liga giants on a season-long loan deal with an option to sign him permanently afterwards.

Neymar has missed the start of the season as a result of an ankle injury sustained in the summer though he’s back in training with PSG.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been heavily criticized following the penalty miss that overshadowed the league meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.

Wolves hosted Manchester United at the Molineux on Monday night in a game which ended 1-1 but the major talking point was the penalty miss by Paul Pogba in the second half.

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince criticized the lack of managerial skills from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba deliberated on the penalty taker after the Red Devils were given a spot-kick in the second half.

Manchester United were given the penalty after Paul Pogba was fouled by Wolves skipper Conor Coady.

Paul Pogba had a brief discussion with Marcus Rashford before the former stepped up to take the penalty which was saved by Wolves skipper Rui Patricio.

Many Manchester United fans and pundits have blamed Solskjaer and Pogba after the penalty incident led to a draw rather than a win for the team.

They thought Marcus Rashford should have taken the penalty having scored on the opening day of the Premier League.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has revealed three Arsenal players that will give his former club problems ahead of their Premier League meeting this weekend.

Liverpool will take on Arsenal at home in what’s one of the three games in the new Premier League season.

Arsenal and Liverpool are the last two standing as far as teams with a 100% record are concerned.

Jamie Carragher talked about the upcoming league clash between Liverpool and Arsenal on Monday Night Football (MNF) on Sky Sports.

According to him, the Liverpool defence will struggle to contain the Arsenal front of three, consisting of Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicholas Pepe.

Jamie Carragher said that Liverpool have been lucky this season as they have been shaky at the back mainly due to the high line employed by the Reds.

On their part, Arsenal began the season with the slim 1-0 away win over Newcastle United.
